Hi there, chaseblankenship.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll share different details about removing an email as a user ID in QuickBooks Online. Then, ensure you'll be able to achieve this matter.

If you're referring to deleting the email address that appears on the Manage Users page, this option is currently unavailable. Meanwhile, if you can still access the QuickBooks Online account, you can edit the email address and enter a dummy email so the changes will be saved. This way, your email as a user ID will be removed in the QBO.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Choose Manage Users.
  3. Select the Users tab.
  4. the Edit link and change the email address.
  5. Click Save.

If you mean to remove the email address that is used as a user ID when logging into QuickBooks Online, you can sign in to your Intuit account if you have still access to this account. Then, go to the Manage your Intuit Account so you'll be able to see the Update link option to make any changes to your login credentials. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Click the Profile icon inside the QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Choose Sign-in & security tab.
  3. Go to the User ID section and click the Update link.
  4. Change the email address in the User ID box.
  5. Enter the password.
  6. Click Save.

Otherwise, if you can no longer access the QBO, you can contact the new admin or the one who handles the account and ask them to perform the steps above to remove and change the user ID.
