Hi there, caldwellmechanic.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll provide troubleshooting steps to ensure you're able to update your subscription.

Since your AppStore doesn’t show that you have a subscription, it's important to review the setting of your device to run the app or software in the background. That said, you'll have to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS

If the issue persists, I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks account using a browser and access it via PC. This is also to confirm if you encounter the same issue. Then, click this article to see steps on how you can update or manage your QuickBooks Online subscription: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

If the problem continues to occur, I advising to contact the Apple Support Team. They have the tools to check your subscription and investigate the cause of the issue. They can also help you in updating your QuickBooks subscription quickly.

Please refer to this article to see a table list that contains different features that are supported on mobile devices: Compare mobile app features.
