Question

How can I view more than two years of balance sheets in a single report? In Plus I have a Balance Sheet Comparison report, but it will only let me see two years.

Hello there, phack.

There's a limitation to running a Balance Sheet Comparison report in QuickBooks Online. It only generates two years of your data entered within the system.

As a workaround, you can run a Balance Sheet report and filter the date so that you can modify and compare the data you want to pull up.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Select Balance Sheet.
  3. Under Report period, click This Year-to-date dropdown and choose Custom.
  4. Customize the date you want to see in your report.
  5. Under Display columns byselect the Total Only dropdown and click Years.
  6. Select Run report.

Additionally, I'm sharing this material to help you manage online transactions to ensure the accuracy of your books: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
