Question

How do I add "ship date" to reports. If I can't have a ship date option for sales reports, sales tax reports I can't use online.

You've come to the right place, @al52.

I can guide you through the steps in adding a ship date to your sales reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Type in and enter Sales by Customer Detail report from the search field or any sales report.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Select the Change columns link from the Rows/Columns section.
  5. Click the Ship date
  6. Then click Run report for the changes to take effect.

You can also see this link for more details on how to customize reports in QBO: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

However, the option to add a ship date in your Sales tax report is currently not available. As a workaround, you can export it to MS Excel and add a column for ship date from there. Then, open your preferred sales report, customize it to have a ship date for reference.

It's also a great practice to memorize the report to save its current settings. This way, you won't have to go through the customization process again.
