Hi there, @donna-lynne-ickm.

Did you get any error message when canceling the bookkeeping subscription in QuickBooks Online (QBO)?

If so, it could be that there's an issue with the browser that you're using. Sometimes stored cache in a web can cause unanticipated behavior with the product. We can fix this by performing some basic troubleshooting steps.

Let's start by accessing your QBO account in a private window. This a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity on the local device, so no trace will be left on the computer.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox ).
  • Control + Option + P (Safari).

If you're able to cancel your bookkeeping subscription, then let’s go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. These caches of data are essentially junk files and can be safely deleted to free up storage space.

If the same problem occurs, try using a different supported browser. This can be an issue with the browser that you use and QuickBooks.

In case you're still unable to process the cancellation online, I recommend reaching out to our phone support. This way, they can directly cancel the subscription.
