How do I change my company name in Quickbooks Self-Employed? When I signed up, it found my email address for TurboTax, now the company name is the email address.

I know how to edit your business name in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @vhinds.

 

The business name in QBSE depends on the personal information you've entered into the system. Please ensure to select the Personal info tab instead. This way, you can modify your business details in the Name section.

I can walk you through how to change the company's name in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Please follow these steps below:  

 

  1. Log in to your QBSE account.
  2. Go to the Settings menu.
  3. Choose Intuit account to open the Intuit Account Manager.
  4. Click the Sign-in & security menu.
  5. Select the User ID, Email Address, or Password section and edit the business name.
  6. Once done, click Save.

 

Then, you can log out and log back into your account to refresh the changes. 

 

In case you'll want to edit the company name in the invoice. Here's how: 

  1. From the left panel, choose Invoices.
  2. Open the invoice and select the Edit button. 
  3. From there, click the Edit work info and change the name. 
  4. Once done choose Save.

    Where is Business Name listed in this setting? I clicked into the following and did not see Business Name to edit:

    • User ID
    • Email address
    • Password
    • Phone
    • etc.
