How do i change my login username? i followed the directions but it literally does not work.

I'm here to help you change your username in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
 

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
2. Choose your profile icon next to Settings ⚙.
3. Tap Manage your Intuit Account to go to the Intuit Account Manager.
4. Click Sign in & security.
5. Hit the User ID, Email address, Password, or Phone section.
6. Make your changes.
7. When you're done, tap Save.

If still, you can't change the username in QuickBooks. I recommend reaching out to the Customer Support Team, They'll be able to pull up your account and help you with creating a new login in the Community and further investigate your concern.

To contact our support, here's how: 

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. Then click Help (?).  
2. Choose to Talk to a human.
3. Enter "Talk to a human" again in the search bar.
4. Select I still need a human, then click Contact Us.
5. Choose a way to connect with us.
