I just changed my business email address. Now I would like to change my user ID so that it matches my new email. Then I would like to create a new password. How do I do this. The information I received from the help menu isn't working.

Let's change the info in the Intuit Account Manager page, jdflowersmusic.

This way, you'll be able to update the details in an absolute breeze. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Intuit Account Manager and then click on Sign in & security.
  2. Select User ID.
  3. Delete your old User ID, then enter the new one.
  4. Enter your current password, then choose Save.
  5. After that, select Password.
  6. Enter and confirm your new password.
  7. Once done, click on Save.

When I do so, it says the User ID is already being used - which is an old account that we apparently had. Can I keep the User ID which differs from  my email, or can I delete the old account and then readd and attach to the email. It's just confusing as we ended up with multiple accounts over the years.

I'd like to help  manage your QuickBooks account in QuickBooks Online, rdlmachineinc.

QuickBooks lets you have multiple companies under the same email address. This helps you easily switch between multiple accounts.

You can still use the User ID from your old account. Beforehand, we'll have to add a dummy email to remove it from the list.

  1. Sign in to your old QuickBooks account.
  2. Select the profile icon next to the Gear icon.
  3. Click Manage your Intuit Account.
  4. Choose the Sign in & security menu, then click Email.
  5. Add a dummy email.
  6. After that, select Save.

Once done, you can now match the new email address to the User ID. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Intuit Account Manager and then click on Sign in & security.
  2. Add the User ID on the User ID section.
  3. Make sure the email is correct.
  4. Once done, click on Save.
