How do I change the company address on tax forms?

I've changed our address everywhere possible, however W-2's have our old company address on them...

Hi there, rubendermpartner.

We want to make sure that the right address will show up on your W2 forms. If changing it in the General Tax Information and Work Location didn't work, it would be best to contact our Support again. That way, they can check this further using a screen-sharing tool.

You can check out the filing instructions in this article: File W-2 forms.

Please let me know if you have other questions about the form.

Hello there, gpppg.

The address on your W-2 form will follow on what is on your payroll settings.

Here's how to change the address on your payroll settings:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings.
  2. Select the Tax set up tab.
  3. Click the General Tax Information.
  4. Fill in the necessary information. (Make sure to enter the correct address)

Once done, your W-2 form will show the correct address onward.

You can always drop by here for your other concerns.

Thanks but that did not work.  I had to call in to remove the old work location from our account (this can only be done by support).  Now supposedly this will be fixed.

    Hello gpppg,

    Thanks for coming back.

You're right about contacting our Payroll Support Team. They have a tool that can change the primary state location of your business in your payroll account. After that, you can now pull up the tax forms with the correct address.

To verify if the address was updated:

    1. Click on the Gear icon.
    2. Choose Payroll Settings.
    3. Under Taxes, click on General Tax Information.

You'll see the changes in the Filing Address section. Let us know if you have any questions. We'll be right here to help.
