How do I close and cancel a quick books account that I’m not using

You can cancel your subscription directly through the settings of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon at the upper-right hand.
2. Choose Account and Settings. 
3. In the left menu, pick Billing & Subscription. 
4. Hit Cancel subscription, then Continue. 
5. Complete the short survey. 

Once your QBO account is cancelled, your data will be available in read-only access for 1 year and be deleted in the system from the cancellation date.
