When I entered a new customer for an estimate I noticed I misspelled it and I need to correct it? Is it a quick fix?

Yes, correcting a misspelled customer name is quick and easy, Robin.

Changes made to the customer info updates previously sent transactions and records. Follow the steps below to edit your customer's name:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customers.
  2. Locate the one you want to update.
  3. On the customer's profile, click Edit.
  4. Modify the name.
  5. Select Save.

Once done, you can convert an estimate into an invoice to start billing your customer.

Afterward, check out this guide to register your receivables: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
