I've got you covered, diane-feelsgoodd.

Deleting your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company file is pretty easy but will depend on how days old your file is. If your company is less than 60 days old, you can delete your company data. This won't cancel your QBO or payroll subscriptions so you can start your books from scratch.

Here's how:

  1. When signed in, change the URL and enter /purgecompany
     For example:
    Before: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage

            After: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany

       2. The next screen will show you the items to be deleted.

       3. Next, type Yes to confirm you want to delete your company data.

       4. Click Wipe data.

If your company is 60 days old or older, you'll have to cancel your subscription. You'll only be given read-only access so you can still view your data for a year. After that, the system will automatically delete your account.

  1. Go to Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Tap the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel.
  4. Follow the steps to cancel your account. If you use payroll, you should cancel your payroll account too.

I want to make sure that your goal to start over is achieved. Please leave a reply below if you have any follow-up questions about deleting the data. I'm always happy to provide additional assistance. Thanks for posting. Have a good one.
