Question

How do I download mileage details to excel? There used to be a way but now I don't see the option. There isn't a report available. How do they expect us to pay employee

I'm not sure why I am paying so much for a program that doesn't have a mileage report or ability to export. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am hoping I am just not seeing how to accomplish this task.

Hello jychmbrs-gmail-c!

QuickBooks Online has an option to download your mileage info. Let me show you how to do it.

When you go to the Mileage menu, click the arrow down next to Add trip button. From there, you'll see the Download Trips button. Your mileage info will be downloaded in a CSV file.

You'll want to make sure that your browser isn't zoomed in so that you'll be able to see the entire page. Press the Ctrl and - (minus) on your keyboard to zoom it out.

In addition, QuickBooks Online is a web-based software. Its performance is also based on the browser and internet speed. You'll want to use an incognito window and check the Mileage menu from there. Incognito won't save your browsing history which can result in an error.

These are some of the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

It'd also be best to clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. It can fix any browser-related issues.

Lastly, check this link to know how to pull, customize, and save a report in QuickBooks Online: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Keep on posting here if you need more assistance with your mileage. Thanks!
