Hello, efphd.

Thanks for asking us here in the Community. As an insight, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) are two different platforms. The main difference between both programs is that QuickBooks Self-Employed is designed for Independent Contractors, while QuickBooks Online is for small business owners. This has accounting and bookkeeping features to help you in managing your business.

That said, let's consider canceling your QBSE and subscribing to QBO account to avoid double charges.

Also, for paid and trial subscriptions, Intuit will hang on to the data for one year. This allows you to pick up where you'd left off if you decide to reactivate your account.

I suggest you check our Plans & Pricing page so you can decide which version fits your needs.

I've also included some articles so you can decide better what to choose:

Don't hesitate to post again if you have more questions. I'll be here. Take care!
