Hi, @howlettmachine74.

I can guide you on how to export your file from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Internet Explorer (IE) is the supported browser in QBDT. However, this browser is no longer supported in QBO. You can use the following URL to initiate the download in Internet Explorer as a workaround: http://qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt. Then, prepare to export your QuickBooks Online data by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Get Started button in the Export Overview window.
  2. Choose Install under ActiveX Control Now.
  3. When it's finished, click Continue.
  4. Select the data you want to export, then choose Continue.
  5. Review the limitations and click Continue.
  6. Enter your contact info and then select Continue.

You can also check out this link for additional reference: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Just in case the provided steps above don't work for you, you can proceed with moving your lists and balances manually. Here's how: Learn how to move your customers, vendors, products, and services, and accounts from QBO to QBDT.

To get started with QBDT, you can also review the topics from our QBDT help articles.

If you have any other questions about moving data or entries from QBO to QBDT and vice versa, please notify me by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe!
