I appreciate your interest in switching from one QuickBooks product to another, @DNB. Since we're unable to move your data directly, I've got the steps to convert it.

To export and convert your QBO data to QuickBooks Desktop, follow the steps below:

Here’s how:

  1. Login to your QuickBooks Online account and select the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Export Data and enter your reason for doing so. Then, click Continue.
  3. Review your data from the export overview screen. Once ready, press Export to Excel.
  4. On the Exporting from QuickBooks Online page, select Continue to Download.
  5. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions to complete the exporting process.

I’ve added some screenshots for your visual reference:

After that, you can switch over to QuickBooks Desktop to import your data. Here's an article that will guide you through the complete process: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Please know that there might be differences in how your books appear. To understand the exporting limitations, check out this reference: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

You can also cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial if you no longer need it. This way, you won't be charged anymore.

You're always welcome to send any queries you have regarding your subscription or any QuickBooks tasks. Just add them below, and I'll make sure to assist you further. Have a nice day ahead.
