How do I export the full register? My exported files seem to be limited to 2500 rows.

There is a size limit when you exporting your QuickBooks files, nate11000.

There’s a maximum number of characters you can enter in each field. To learn more about the limitations, you can search online about QuickBooks Online file size and limitations.

Once you're ready, you can follow the step-by-step guide to convert your file: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop

Let me know if you need anything else or if you have followed up questions. I'm always around whenever you need help transferring your data. Have a great day, and keep safe always!

Thanks Ailene. None of the limitations mentioned seem to indicate a 2500 row limit to Excel exports. Is that one of the limits? It seems relatively low.

Thanks!

Thank you for reaching back out to us, nate11000. That's a great question!  Yes, that is one of the limits. This article goes into more detail about the customers/vendors' limitations when importing an extensive list from Outlook, Excel, or Gmail.

However, I'm going to make a note of this and send a suggestion to our Product Developers to increase the limit. Our engineers are always looking for ways to enhance your business experience. I have a little workaround for this limitation.  It's a little cumbersome, but it does work.  I have some very large registers, and have run into the same limit.  I discovered that if you filter the register, the export command acts on the filtered range.  So Select a subset of the register (I do it by date) that is smaller than the limit (2500 rows?) and export in chunks.  You can use Excel to re-assemble them into a contiguous file.  I haven't tried to import one of these gigantic (in QBO world) spreadsheets.  I just use this to find discrepancies using Excel's much more advanced search and filter facilities.  Hope this helps.
