Hi, @peggybeau. I'm here to help.

To provide better assistance, may I kindly inquire if you're trying to run a type of Profit and Loss (PL) report or just a standard PL report? It would also greatly help if you could provide further details of your concern.

The PL report available under the Favorites section on the Reports page is the standard type, and users can use the report when subscribed to Simple Start, Essentials, Plus or Advanced. For now, I'll list most types of PL reports we can use in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

  • Profit and Loss (Standard)
  • Profit and Loss Comparison
  • Profit and Loss by Tag Group
  • Profit and Loss as % of total income
  • Profit and Loss by Class
  • Profit and Loss by Customer
  • Profit and Loss by Division
  • Profit and Loss Detail
  • Profit and Loss year-to-date comparison
  • Quarterly Profit and Loss Summary

Alternatively, you can search for the PL report using the search field. Here are the steps to do this:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. In the Find report by name search field, type in Profit and Loss.
  3. Select the type of PL report you want to use.

If this doesn't resolve the problem, I recommend accessing your account through your browser's incognito mode and retry looking for the report again.

When this is resolved, let me add these guides about customizing your financial reports and saving them for future reference:

We're always here in the Community should you have further concerns about running PL reports in QBO. We'll do our best to assist. Take care.
