How do I get my account numbers to show up on my P&L and Balance Sheet reports. Ex: 2210 Memberships?

You can keep your accounts sorted and easy to locate by assigning numbers to your accounts. I'll show you how to display your account numbers on your reports. 

Let's begin by activating account numbers in QuickBooks Online. Here’s how to turn it on:

1. Select Account and settings under Settings.
2. Select the Advanced tab.
3. In the Chart of Accounts section, click Edit.
4. Turn on the account numbers setting. 

Next, select Show account numbers to show account numbers on transactions and reports. Then, click Save.

To see your accounts’ numbers, go to the Chart of Accounts. Above the Action column, click Settings. Make sure Number is checked.
