Hello,

If the running balance is not showing or showing N/A, it's because it's being sorted by something OTHER than date.  Click on the Date column so it has the arrow on top of it and you should get your running balance back.

Also make sure RUNNING BALANCE is checked as a column in the small gear icon in the register.

Good day, @pkvogel.

I can help you show the running balance on your register.

  1. Click Accounting.
  2. Choose Chart of Account
  3. Click the Setting (Gear) icon above the Action column.
  4. Put check marks on the QuickBooks Balance and Bank Balance boxes.

That should do it, pkvogel. For future use, I'll share with you some other helpful articles about configuring the Register:

I want to know how to see the daily running balance in quickbooks checking when I go to “Cash Flow” and click on “Quickbooks Checking.”. I’m not talking about looking at a bank register.  I can manually add to and delete items in the bank register.  I want to see my daily running balance just like I used to with Chase.  I would then reconcile the Chase balance with my register.

Thanks for adding your concern in this forum, @majorx37. You can see the Bank balance when you go to your Banking page.

From there, see the bank balance in blue tile, and your QuickBooks balance below it. Check out this screenshot for your reference:

Here's an article that contains a step-by-step guide in reconciling your actual bank statement with your QuickBooks transactions.

I want to see the daily running balance not the current balance.  When I go to cash flow and then quickbooks checking there is no daily running balance.
