How do I remove all customer credit card info from database?

We don't use QB to process customer payments, however, several years ago I stored ONE customer's credit card info in our system. Since that is the case, I have to change our password every few months. We have thousands of customers. How do I find that one credit card so that I can remove it?

    The following data is encrypted using the Admin security key and if damaged, the following information may be lost:
    - Customer Credit cards
    - Vendor Tax IDs
    - Employee SSNs
    - Bank Account Numbers

     

    You can purchase a third-party service to delete such encrypted data in bulk. They cannot reveal it but are only able to remove it.

    Hi there, @lctrees. We'll share details to help you find the customer with credit card information added inside QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
     
    You'll need to check each customer's profile to determine which one has the credit card information. Although this is a tedious process, doing this will ensure you can locate that specific customer and remove the sensitive information. Once you're ready, here's how to get rid of that detail:

     

    1. Access your QuickBooks Desktop company.
    2. Select the Customers Menu.
    3. Click Customer Center.
    4. Select the customer you wish to edit and then click the Pencil icon to edit the customer information.
    5. In the Payment Settings section, delete the credit card information.
    6. Once done, click the OK button.
