How do I save a new user if the save button is not active?

I have been through all of the steps to add a new user and we have user openings but when I get ready to save the save button is not activated.

Welcome to the Community. I can help you add a new user in QuickBooks Online.

 

The Save button should be available to click if you complete all the necessary fields (see screenshot below). Enter the first name, last name, and email address to add the user successfully.

 

 

If the option is still unavailable, the browser's stored cache may be full. It causes issues in QuickBooks, such as unresponsive buttons. 

 

I suggest you start by logging into your account using a private browser. It doesn't store data in the cache and is a great way to isolate the problem.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

 

If you can invite a user without any issue, please switch back to your regular browser and clear the cache. It helps to restore the default setup of the browser. 

 

There are times that clearing cache won't resolve the problem. In this case, you can use another supported web engine to get the best and most secure experience.
