You need to sign up for a QBO Accountant account to do so.

Hello, myhazalllc. I will guide you in managing your client's account as an accountant.

If you want to manage your client's account as an accountant in QuickBooks, you must sign up for an accountant account. Once you have an accountant account, you can ask your client to invite you to become their accountant and gain access to their account. This will allow you to manage their finances and provide them with the necessary services they require.

Here's how to invite an accountant:

  1. Ask your client to send the invite to the email address you use for your QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.
  2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
  3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
  4. If you have multiple QuickBooks Online Accounting firms, select the one you want to connect your client to.

Once you have been invited and accepted, you will be able to access your client's financial data and perform various tasks, including managing their transactions, generating reports, and providing them with real-time financial insights. This will enable you to offer your clients the best support and advice to help them grow their businesses and achieve their financial goals.

I've attached some articles about customizing user access and a video tutorial for visual reference: Add, delete, or change user access

I'm just around the corner to help if you have any other concerns about managing your client account in QBO. Have a good one, and stay safe!

To clarify, is this the email address in the Primary Admin role profile? Your QBOA User ID (login email address) can be different from the Primary Admin's email address.
