Hello there, bnicolas.

While the option to sort the transaction report within QuickBooks, you'll want to export it to Excel and sort it from there. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. From the search field, enter and select the transaction report you'll want to run.
  3. Select or enter the date range.
  4. Click Run report.
  5. Once the reports refresh, click the export icon at the upper-right of the report and click Export to Excel

For more details in adding and removing rows/column and filters in you reports, you can use this link: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other questions. Take care and have a great day!

I used to pay $300 for desktop software and upgrade every 2-3 years.  Now I have to pay $500/year per company (I do books for 3x companies) => $1500/year

I should have more functionality not less.  Telling me to go to export data, import to another program to do something as simple as sort data in a report is not acceptable solution
