How to delete - cancel company?

I have one too many companies and don't know how I managed to create the second one. I have a new account and looked for hours at settings and at other similar questions.

You're on the right track, @kearoth.
 
You can cancel your account from the Accounts and Settings page. I'll guide you how.
  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select Billing and subscription.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel.
  4. Click Continue to Cancel, then Continue to Cancel again.
  5. Answer the short survey, then Click Confirm Cancel.
