How to Get Started Learning QuickBooks?

Hello everyone, I am a university student and have the opportunity to be invited by a company (Terus) to be an employee. I have passed their interview and related information. At the end of this part, they gave me a challenge to pick a software and learn it myself and make a report for the software. I picked Quickbooks. Currently, I do not know where to start so I still only refer to documents but accidentally found this forum. I hope everyone can help me find the most suitable path. Thank you everyone!

Congratulations on your recent opportunity with Terus, @tomnguyen1! We’re excited to support your initiative to learn QuickBooks Online (QBO) and help you make the most of our software.

Before diving into QuickBooks, it's helpful to familiarize yourself with some basic accounting concepts, as you'll encounter these terms while navigating the program. You can refer to this link for definitions: Accounting Glossary

To get hands-on experience, we recommend signing up for a 30-day free trial of QBO. This will allow you to explore the software without financial commitment.

Upon logging in, you'll be directed to the homepage dashboard, which features three key tabs: HomeCash flow, and Planner. These tabs are designed to help you focus on critical tasks in QBO and streamline your workflow.

Next, set up your company by navigating to the Settings icon and clicking on Account and settings. Here, you'll enter essential info about your business, including your company name, address, and contact details. This setup is crucial as it will reflect on invoices and reports: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online

You can then connect your bank account to automatically sync transactions, making it easier to track your expenses and income. Additionally, add customers and create a list of your products and services to streamline the invoicing process.

You can also watch our step-by-step videos to learn your way around QuickBooks.

If you have further questions about navigating QuickBooks such as working with invoices, matching and categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, or any other QuickBooks-related concerns, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help!
