How to produce a report for payroll cost within a project?

If you're referring to viewing payroll expenses and hourly costs, you can view your labor costs after you've set up payroll expenses and/or hourly cost rates with timesheets.

 

Here's how to switch between viewing payroll expenses or hourly costs:
 

  1. From the Projects screen, find and access your project.
  2. Use your Payroll Expenses ▼ or Hourly Costs ▼ drop-downs.
  3. Select one you want to view.

 

You'll want to be aware that changing this setting in one project will affect all other projects.

 

In the event you haven't set up payroll expenses and/or hourly cost rates with timesheets yet, but want to do so, I'd recommend referring to the detailed steps in our Track hourly labor costs and profitability by project article.

 

If you're using a Payroll subscription, there's also your other available reporting, like the Payroll Summary Detail, Payroll Billing Summary, and many more which may be helpful for what you're looking for.
