I added another user to my account and when I was ready to delegate classifying transactions downloaded from bank I did not see options for my user to help reconcile?

Welcome to QuickBooks Community, andres19691. I'll share steps to ensure you're able to add a user that can help you in reconciling accounts.

 

When you add a user in QuickBooks Online to help reconcile your account, you'll have to make sure that you assign the user as Standard with all access rights or Company admin. That said, it could be the newly added user is set to different roles. If that's the case, I recommend changing or edit the user's permission.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks with a user profile that has permission to manage users or company admin.
  2. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon. Then, select Manage users.
  3. Find the user you want to edit. Then, select Edit in the Action column.
  4. From the User type drop-down menu, select the new user type.
  5. Choose the user settings, if applicable.
  6. Hit Save.

 

Once done, ask the user to sign out and sign in again into QuickBooks Online to see the updates.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser and add a user from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

 

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

 

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

 

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

 

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.
