Thanks for joining the Community to understand the billing amount, @micheller-cesai-.

When you first subscribe to our QuickBooks Online Payroll Service, you might have availed a discounted price for 30 days. After that, the regular surcharge will return to its per active employee per month rate. It will also depend on your payroll service plan. In addition, here are the other possible reasons why the rate seems higher than expected:

  • It could be that sales tax is added to the base subscription price.
  • You recently upgraded from Simple Start to Essentials or from Essentials to Plus payroll bundle.

On the other hand, if you have availed the 37.50 payroll service billing rate with an $8 per employee per month rate as advertised well for six months, you shouldn't be paying more. In your case, I suggest contacting our Payroll Support team. This way, one of our representatives can take a closer look at your account on file and review your actual billing rate in a secure session.

  1. Select the Help (?) icon on the top right.
  2. Go to the Search tab and then hit Contact Us.
  3. Enter your billing concern and then hit Continue.
  4. Choose to Start a chat or get a Callback.

You can check their support hours for when they are available for more details.

Moreover, I'd like to add this article to learn more FAQs about subscription rates and charges in QuickBooks Online: How to understand your subscription rates and charges.
