Question

I am exporting a report to Excel and totals of my clients are showing on the screen. However, when I export it to Excel the totals are all '0'. Any idea how to fix?

I'd be pleased to help you show the amounts on your exported reports in QuickBooks Online, mjdaniels-mymail.

To see the full content of the report with the correct total, you'll need to make sure to click the Enable Editing option at the top.

If the reports are still showing 0 value after clicking the Enable Editing option, I recommend updating your Excel to isolate this. Outdated Excel may have cause exported reports to show blank data. Let me guide you how:

  1. Open the Excel file.
  2. Navigate to the File menu.
  3. Select Account
  4. Click Update Options.
  5. Hit Update Now.

However, if you don't see the Update Options, this means you already have the latest version of Excel. In this case, I suggest reaching out to the Microsoft Support team. They'll be able to provide you with some steps on how to troubleshoot your Excel.

Additionally, I recommend customizing the report to get the specific details you need before exporting them into Excel. You can also memorize it to save its current customization settings. It serves as your record and helps you quickly access it for future use.

Kindly update me on how things go by adding another comment below. I want to make sure your report's total is accurate, and I'm always here if you need further guidance. Have a great day!
