Question

I am new to QBSE and do not see Balance Sheet anywhere. This is accounting software, right? So how do it view and print my A = L + E?

Hi @sethnowak.

Currently, there isn't a way to view and print a balance sheet in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). This report is present only with other Intuit products that have the Chart of Accounts like QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

QBSE will help you you track your business-related transactions and calculates your federal-estimated taxes. Having it aids you to make quarterly estimated tax payments and file your Schedule C with your annual tax return (1040). For more details, check out this article: QBSE Overview.

I'd also recommend checking this website to know more information about the tax obligations for self-employed individuals.: Self-Employed Individuals Tax Center.

In case you're a business owner and you aren't sure if the product fits with your business, you can review this article: Should I Use QuickBooks Self-Employed or QuickBooks?.

Once determined, choose the plan that fits to your business through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/. Then, complete the signup process in creating your company. After that, you'll have the option to run the Balance Sheet report from the Reports menu.
