I am trying to export my QuickBooks Desktop company files to QuickBooks Online. When I try to connect to QuickBooks, it does not connect. It is an old PC and very slow. How can I solve this problem?

I'd like to add some information about moving data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before we start, may I know what error message did you receive when you tried export your file from QBDT to QBO? Here's a link to help fix errors when converting from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Also, you need to take note of following information to avoid any issues when migrating your data:

• You need to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
• You need to check if the company file isn't too big to export.
• You can only move a company file within 60 days after signing up to QuickBooks Online.
• If you've already set up payroll in QuickBooks Online, you only need to move your lists.
• Some of lists and report won't be converted because of feature differences.
