Question

I am using Quickbooks online but I am a single Real Estate agent. What do I consider if I transfer? Data? Functionality?

Should I use QB solopreneur instead? I have no employees. I used to use QB desktop and I am disappointed in the functionality I lost. I feel I am paying too much for QB online.

Welcome to the Community, Janet.

Yes, you can use the QuickBooks Solopreneur. Before making a decision, I will give you more information about their difference.

QuickBooks Online is a software package designed for small businesses that provide more features than Solopreneur. It includes advanced invoicing options and is particularly useful for small businesses that need to keep track of payments, assign hours worked to customers, and give access to up to three users.

QuickBooks Solopreneur is a software solution designed for solo entrepreneurs, regardless of whether they hire 1099 contractors or not. The platform provides easy-to-use tools for organizing finances, managing taxes, and developing growth strategies to achieve financial stability. Additionally, by linking your bank or credit card account, QuickBooks Solopreneur automatically categorizes transactions into pre-set categories, making it effortless to keep track of your finances.

It can cater to your tax-filing needs. The tax filing capabilities included in QuickBooks Solopreneur are designed for 'Schedule C' (form 1040) filers, most commonly applicable to sole proprietors or single-member LLCs. However, if you want a more advanced version, you can also use QuickBooks Online.

Here are some articles you can read for the features of Solopreneur and other QuickBooks Online versions:

Let me know if you have questions about getting started with QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.

Why don't you stay with QB Desktop?
