Question

I can't connect QB to a business savings account, but I want to have that balance marked somewhere in QB so my reports reflect it. Where and how do I do this?

Welcome to the Community page, marcielangford27.

It's my pleasure to help connect your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

May I know if you're getting any error messages when connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online? I would also appreciate it if you can tell me the name of your bank. This way, I’ll be able to check here on my end if there are any related issues about it.

Please check this article to see different troubleshooting steps if you don’t see your recently downloaded bank transactions in QuickBooks Online: What to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download. This also provides details on how to fix specific banking errors.

In the meantime, will need to perform some troubleshooting steps before connecting your account so we can confirm if this a browser-related issue. To begin, let's open an incognito or privates browser and access your account from there.

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)

Once logged in, go back to the Banking tab and connect the bank.  If incognito works, return to your default browser to clear your browser's cache. This way, we can get a clean slate for your browser.

For future reference, you may read through this article to learn about reviewing your downloaded bank transactions to make sure they're added to QuickBooks. : Match and Categorize Bank Transactions
