I converted existing desktop to online before exporting data from desktop. Now what?

I overwrote the desktop already so there's no way to go back and export. If I still have the qbw on a thumb drive can I reinstall it or will it then overwrite the online version?

Hello, news-okcrwc-org.

QuickBooks will replace any existing data during the conversion process. However, you can use the same QBO login credentials to sign in to your account.

Here's an article that'll walk you through the process: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

I'll also share with you this awesome article about your first hour with QuickBooks Online which I'm sure you'll find helpful. It has steps that'll guide you to make sure that by the end of the hour, everything in place and ready to handle the account tasks for your business.

If anything may arise while exporting or converting your data, you can call our dedicated team who will be happy to assist you. To reach us, please follow these steps below:

If you are using QBO Simple Start or your account > 60 days old, you should buy a new blank QBO account and cancel the old one.
