Question

I don't have any "Other Business Expenses" but they appear on my Profit and Loss for 2022. How do I remove them so that the calculation is accurate?

I have made individual updates to items that were incorrectly categorized but it is still showing them on the report.

Welcome to the Community, smckelvey711. I've got some information to help you modify your Profit and Loss report in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'll go over removing those transactions that aren't supposed to be calculated in the Other Business Expenses section of your Profit and Loss report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports in the left menu.
  2. Click View on the Profit and Loss report.
  3. Double-click the amount to view the transactions in the Other Business Expenses section to view the transactions.

  4. From there, review them and categorize the transactions.

Once settled, you can go back to the report to see the changes.

On top of that, you can review these articles to learn more about organizing your transactions seamlessly:

Moreover, you can refer to this article to see different information on how QuickBooks Self-Employed tracks your business income and taxes: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns about your transactions in QBSE. I'll be around for you. Have a great day!
