I don’t see categories on my mobile app for transactions

Since you're unable to see categories while using your QuickBooks mobile app, I'd initially recommend refreshing the app's data to see your latest available information.

 

Here's how to refresh data on Android devices:
 

  1. Go to Menu (☰), then More Options (⋮).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Hit Refresh Data.
  4. Select YES to confirm.

 

Here's how to refresh data on iOS devices:
 

  1. From the homescreen of your device, go to Settings, then General.
  2. Tap iPhone Storage.
  3. Hit QuickBooks Online.
  4. Select Offload App.

 

If you're still not seeing categories in the mobile app after refreshing your data, you'll want to try uninstalling and reinstalling it. Steps for uninstalling applications can differ between Android and iOS devices. You can check Android or Apple's website for detailed information on how to uninstall apps.
