I exported a custom report to Excel but it is all zeros. It does not bring numbers. The same report exported to PDF perfectly.

In Excel, the format of the report matches the report online. All the categories and classes are there, and the format is the same, it's just that instead of my values, there are zeros.

Hello there, TomG92. I'll help you how you can fix this exporting challenge in QuickBooks Online.

To ensure the accurate values appear in your financial statement, simply click the "Enable Editing" button located at the top of the Excel file.

When you export reports to Excel, the file will be presented in a protected view. Here's an article from Microsoft that provides further information on this topic: What is Protected View?

If the issue persists, you can perform the basic troubleshooting steps provided here: Troubleshooting browser problems.

Hi, I am having this same issue but when I hit enable editing, it still doesn't work.

I can share some information regarding this, TStruss.

Since you mentioned that the Enable Editing button is unavailable, it's best to check the Protected View settings and ensure the options are appropriately set. You can consider disabling the Protected View for files originating from the internet or other locations if you trust the source.

On the other hand, if it contains a Save a copy button, you can click it since there are instances when the downloaded content from the web can be in a read-only state.
