Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, @onesourcecleanin.

Choosing QuickBooks depends on the tax forms you'll be filing and the features you need while managing your finances or business. QuickBooks Self- Employed (QBSE) is a special version designed for freelancers, independent contractors, and service-based entrepreneurs. QuickBooks Online (QBO) on the other hand is for business owners (C-corp, S-corp, partnership, or multiperson LLC), not a sole proprietor.

I'm adding these articles for your guide on choosing what QuickBooks subscription you need:

For the QuickBooks plans and pricing as well as the features included per plan, read this link.

Post again if you  have any other questions. I'm a few clicks away to help. Happy weekend!

As additional notes, you may consider QB Desktop and deploy a private cloud should  you need to access your data file by internet connection. But should you prefer using QB Online, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.
