Question

I have been away for a while. I logged in after a while and all of my data is gone. Can it be recovered?

Hello there, velvethammerbook.

Welcome to QuickBooks Community!

Just like QuickBooks Online, the data will be stored for a year after you cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription. However, you're unable to access it unless you'll update your billing and subscription details.

After a year of cancellation, all the data will be permanently deleted and we're unable to retrieve or recover them.

You'll want to start fresh and create a new account instead. Please visit our Plans and Pricing page for details.

I'll be here always if you need further assistance. Have a great day!

I logged in with my same login information and it's been a day.

I updated my billing information and my data still hasnt repopulated.

I do not think it has been a year.

Is there a process I need to follow to get the information back?

Hi there, @velvethammerbook.

Let’s make sure to log in using your QuickBooks Self-Employed credentials when you sign up for the service.

Here's how to access your account:

1. Open a web browser.

2. Use this link: https://selfemployed.intuit.com/login.

3. Enter your username and password.

This article will also give you the complete details about this process: How can I reset my login credentials?

Also, I suggest contacting our customer support team if you’re having the same trouble so they can check your account in a safe environment. You can refer to this article for detailed steps on how: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

If you have any questions let me know, I want to ensure that this is taken care of. Take care.
