A warm welcome to the Community, pestoff2.

I can help you cancel your duplicate account in QuickBooks Online.

If you're trying to cancel a duplicate QuickBooks Online account, you can follow the steps below to complete the process.

  1. Select Settings ⚙ and then Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  4. Select Continue to cancel, then select Continue to cancel again (if applicable).
  5. Follow the next steps.
  6. Select Submit and cancel subscription.
  7. Select Got it.

You can visit the links below for more information about how long you can access your account as well as handling your QuickBooks personal data:

However, if you're trying to cancel a duplicate account in the chart of accounts, you can mark the duplicate one as inactive.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to hide.
  3. Select the small arrow ▼ in the ACTION column. Then select Make inactive.
