Question

I just tried to send my QB Self-Employed Info over to Turbo Tax but it doesn't look like it was sent. Any recommendations? They are tied to the same Intuit login!

I see that you want to send your information to your TurboTax, weddingstoriesby. I'm here to help.

Since you've sent your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) information to TurboTax yet it seems that it didn't appear in TurboTax, you'll need to complete certain tasks first, before you export it. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Go to QuickBooks Self-Employed

Start the export process from QuickBooks Self-Employed. Ensure you are not logged into any other QuickBooks product to avoid data blockage.

Step 2: Complete the tax checklist in QuickBooks Self-Employed

Complete the tax checklist in QuickBooks Self-Employed's Annual Taxes tab before exporting.

Step 3: Complete the questionnaire in TurboTax Self-Employed

Before doing anything else in TurboTax Self-Employed, please complete the entire questionnaire in order. You should not navigate away from the page as this may lead to stopping the export process. As you go through the Federal tab, complete all the questions up to the Wages and Income page. Once you reach the Self-employment income and expenses section, the export process is complete. You should be able to see all of your data at this point.

Step 4: Check for messages in the Schedule C section of TurboTax Self-Employed

To find your QuickBooks Self-Employed data, search for jump to Schedule C. Check for review messages and follow the onscreen steps.
