I'm trying to deactivate/cancel my account and subscription but I get 'something is not right' message. Email associated with this a/c no longer exists. How do I cancel?

Let's get rid of the error so you can cancel QuickBooks Online, info1592.

 

You can start by accessing your account via a private browser. This way, we can check if the error has something to do with the browser you're using or not.

 

When that works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache and cookies. QuickBooks collects cache file that helps you save time while browsing. Sometimes these files can become outdated or corrupted, causing issues like the one with your report. 

 

Follow the steps to clear cache for your browser:

After clearing the cache, make sure to restart your browser. Then, you can sign back into QuickBooks and cancel your subscription.

 

If the same issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They can cancel the account for you as long as your information is valid during the verification process.

 

If not, you can send a request to recover your account since you need to have access to the email associated with QuickBooks. Our data team will work on this and will get in touch with you for the process.

 

Or change the email address and send the code to your phone via the Intuit account portal. Here’s what to do:

 

  1. Go to your Intuit account and login using your Intuit account credentials.
  2. Select Sign in & security.
  3. Select Email address.
  4. Update the email address, then select Save.
