It's a delight to have you here in the Community, @thomas34.

Let me provide some information and steps to generate reports in Quickbooks Online.

We can pull up the Accounts Receivable Aging Detail report. This will show you the latest and aging client balances. If you're looking for a client's balance within a specific period, ensure to change the date.

Here's how:

  1. From the left panel, choose Reports.
  2. In the Find report by name field, search and select Accounts Receivable Aging Detail report.
  3. Under the Report period section, select your report date.
  4. Lastly, click Run report.

There you can see the list of customers' outstanding balances.

Just in case you want more details, you can customize reports to focus on specific accounts or filter for specific items.

Moreover, you can also memorize a report to save it with its current customization settings.

Don't hesitate to comment down below if you have further concerns. I'll keep my notifications open for you. Stay safe and healthy.

Is there a way to view accounts receivables from a time period (5/18/21-5/17/22) even if it has already been paid? How would this be accomplished to view from the aging detail report?

Thanks for joining the thread, @paoluccc.

Allow me to jump into this conversation and provide further insights about the Accounts receivable Aging report.

This report provides the information you need to know how much money is outstanding, and how much is due to you by your customers. Once they make a payment, this automatically reduces their balance and removes the transaction from the report.

The option to view their balance from a said period once paid is unavailable. This is how QuickBooks reports transactions and the available filter is also inapplicable.

I can see how this option would be helpful for you and your business. Therefore, let me take note of this as a suggestion to improve your QuickBooks experience.

For now, I'd recommend running reports such as the Transaction List by Customer. Then, filter its report period. This way, you can review the payments made and think of them as if they haven't been paid yet.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports and search for the Transaction List by Customer report.
  2. Filter its report by selecting Custom from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Run report

Moreover, you can customer customize reports to easily review the details that matter the most to you.
