I need to remove a checking account but it is not giving me the option. How would I go about doing this.

Are you trying to remove the checking account from the Banking page or Chart of Accounts? If so, you can make it inactive to hide it from these lists. 

Let me show you how:

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
2. Find the account you want to remove.
3. Select the Action ▼ drop-down list and click Make inactive.

Please take note that once you run reports, you’ll still see inactive accounts and their transactions. QuickBooks includes them to keep everything accurate. However, you can customize some reports to hide them.
