I need transaction list with splits by account. How do I set a filter to indicate just one account I need to see?

I can help you customize your Transaction List with Splits report.

 

First, we can add a filter to show the desired account you'd like to view. Once done, we can save your customizations to keep the report modifications, so you don't have to redo it the next time.

 

Let me guide you how to do that:

  1. On the report, click the Customize button.
  2. Click the Filter tab to expand the options.
  3. Locate the Account filter.
  4. In the Account drop-down, select the account you'd like to view.
  5. Click Run report.
  6. Once done, click Save Customization.
  7. Enter the report name in the Custom report name field.
  8. Fill out the Add this report to a group field if you already have a report group.
  9. Click Save.

I’m happy to tell you that there’s a way to filter a report to show splits by account in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

QBDT offers a variety of reports that you can customize to show the data that matters to you and to your business. Allow me to grab this opportunity to help you achieve this. Here's how:

 

  1. From your QBDT software, navigate to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Custom Reports, and click Transaction Detail.
  3. Click the Customize Report button from the top menu of the report.
  4. Go to the Filters tab.
  5. Type in and select Account under the FILTER field.
  6. From the Account drop-down menu, select your preferred account. 
  7. Select the Display tab.
  8. From the COLUMNS field, type in and select Split then click OK.
