Question

I set up new sub accounts to Sales Income, just as I have done before. However, the new accounts do not appear on the General Ledger or Profit and Loss Statement?

It's nice to have you here in the Community, @jroark. I’ll go over how we can work around getting those new sub accounts to appear in your General Ledger and Profit and Loss report.

 

Since these sub accounts are newly set up, may I know if you’ve already made up some transactions for those accounts? Thus, it could be the reason why you’re unable to see those accounts. 

 

To get around this query, I recommend modifying your reports to customize them according to your desired date and accounts to view the information you're looking for. I’d be glad to show you how: 

 

  1. Select Reports from the sidebar menu. 
  2. Look for the specific report in the search box.
  3. Customize the Report period
  4. Go to Customize and choose your account from the Filter section.
  5. Hit Run report to complete the process.

 

However, if you’ve already made up transactions for these sub accounts and are still unable to see them in your General Ledger and Profit and Loss statement, would you mind attaching a screenshot to this post? This way, I can provide you with the best resolution.
