Question

I want all reports to print 2-sided. I could do that in Desktop by saving my printer configuration. How do I do that in Online? Or is that another thing it won't do?

Hello there, BillW7F.

I understand how transitioning from QuickBooks Desktop to Online comes with some changes. Let me share some insights about printing reports in the online version.

Your printer configuration depends on the device you're using. To know if you can print 2-sided reports and for more clarification on the specific settings for your printer, I suggest contacting your printer's support team for further assistance.

If you're using Adobe Reader/Acrobat, you can browse this article for more information on troubleshooting the app: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat.

When you need to save a report with its current customization settings, you can use this article as a guide: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other concerns about printing in QuickBooks Online. I'm more than happy to help.

My printer wil do 2 sided

what does Adobe have to do with it?

Does saving a customized report allows you to save the printer configuration?  I don’t see that ability…

Hi there, BillW7F!

In QuickBooks Online, there is an option to enable two-sided printing for transactions and other files. This functionality is available in the printing feature of the browser you're using. Allow me to walk you through the steps to enable this feature in Chrome..

  1. Open a transaction, report, or anything you want to print in QBO.
  2. Click the printer icon or print the file like how you use to.
  3. When you reach the Print preview section, click the Printer icon.
  4. Expand the More settings section and put a checkmark in the Two-sided checkbox.
  5. Click Print to starting printing the file.

About the article about Adobe and customizing reports that my colleague has shared, they are just additional references related to printing and reports that could help you in the future.

If you have any other questions in mind, feel free to go back to this thread. I'll be happy to help you again. Take care and have a good one!
