Before diving in, allow me to share some insights about what will happen when you cancel your subscription in QuickBooks Online (QBO). When you cancel your QBO subscription, your data will be available in read-only access. Though, the Intuit system keeps your data for a year before we fully delete it.    

Here's how to cancel your account:  

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user. 
2. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
3. Select the Billing & Subscription tab.
4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to cancel your subscription. 

Once done, an email will be sent to the account administrator to confirm the cancellation.
