You can generate and customize the Budget vs. Actual report, Linda. Let me guide you through the process to help you have the data that meets your business needs.

The Budget vs. Actual report will allow you to review your budget and the actual spending for a certain period. Modify it to only show two columns for year-to-date expenses and the budget for the year.

Here's how:

  1. Head to Reports from the left pane.
  2. Key in Budget vs. Actual and select to open it.
  3. Pick Customize, then choose the appropriate report period from the General section.
  4. Under Rows/Columns, choose Accounts vs. Total. You can also tick Only accounts with budgeted amounts to reflect accounts with an allotted budget.
  5. Uncheck the box for $ Over Budget and % of Budget in Period Comparison.
  6. In the Filter section, select Account and choose an account from the designated dropdown if you only want to generate data for specific accounts.
  7. Click on Run report.

On the other hand, you might want to memorize your report to save its current customization settings. You can then send this data on a recurring period through email.
